Damien Mitchell grew up in up Wagga Wagga, Australia. He discovered his talent for art while working in a local paint store called Fitzy’s. At the age of 18, he moved to Prague, Czech Republic, where his passion continued to grow. Throughout his eight years in Prague he painted numerous commissioned walls for international groups such as Doctors without borders, Urban Act, Botas Shoes etc. while also exhibiting in galleries, yet keeping his street based work visible.
In 2012 Damien relocated to Melbourne where he enjoyed participating in a flourishing street art community. This encouraged larger and more ambitious work, which let Damien develop his style while collaborating with local artists.
Shortly after, in 2013, Damien moved to Brooklyn NY, where he was able to focus on larger scale murals. While in the USA, Damien led many workshops and participated in group walls with at-risk youth, and it is in this area where he believes his work is of maximum impact.
